Thales is developing next-generation electro-optic countermeasure technologies aimed at improving the survivability of military vehicles against increasingly advanced battlefield threats. The systems are intended to reduce the chances of vehicles being detected, tracked, or targeted by enemy forces.
Under the UK’s Next Generation Soft Kill (NGSK) program, Thales has been selected by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory to collaborate with British defense company QinetiQ on future protection solutions for land platforms.
The project will evaluate several potential concepts before selecting one design for deeper development and testing phases.
