Lockheed Martin has successfully demonstrated its GRIZZLY containerized launcher by using a Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) to destroy a Group 3 one-way attack drone, marking the first test of the system in this role. Conducted at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona, the live-fire exercise integrated the company’s Sanctum counter-UAS battle management system with Fortem Technologies’ R-40 radar to execute a complete detect-track-engage mission. During the trial, the radar identified and tracked the simulated aerial threat, while Sanctum processed the targeting information and commanded the launcher to fire a JAGM interceptor at the drone.
