Terra Drone is investing to expand production of the Terra A-series interceptor drones, which are developed and manufactured in Ukraine by Amazing Drones. The initiative aims to combine Ukraine’s rapid development cycles and cost-efficient production with external funding and industrial expertise to overcome manufacturing limitations and improve access to global markets, starting with Japan’s procurement programs.

In operational use, the Terra A1 has already demonstrated combat capability, including successfully intercepting a Shahed drone. The more advanced Terra A2 is positioned as a mid-range interceptor within a layered air defense framework, covering a broader range of engagement scenarios. Future developments include jet-powered variants and the integration of autonomous capabilities such as AI-driven targeting.

The Terra A-series is designed as a layered interceptor family, integrating both short- and medium-range systems with varying flight characteristics. The Terra A1 features a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) design for short-range missions, achieving speeds of up to 280 km/h, with an endurance of approximately 15 minutes and a range of 18 km.

The Terra A2 adopts a fixed-wing configuration to extend operational reach, offering speeds of up to 310 km/h, a flight endurance of up to 40 minutes, and a range of 75 km. Looking ahead, a jet-powered interceptor concept is under development to handle higher-speed threats, with early specifications indicating speeds of up to 440 km/h, endurance of around 20 minutes, and a range of 140 km—while maintaining cost-efficient production.
