BBN Technologies is developing a new “self-healing” communications capability designed to keep military personnel connected in highly contested operational environments.
The system is engineered to maintain uninterrupted data exchange for combat air support missions by automatically identifying the most reliable communications pathway and rerouting traffic whenever disruptions occur, eliminating the need for operator intervention.
This functionality is powered by the Primary, Alternate, Contingency, and Emergency for Agile Combat Employment (PACE4ACE) architecture, which enables resilient multiband communications across multiple networks and transmission channels.
