L3Harris Technologies has selected a Polish defense manufacturer to produce key propulsion components for the Patriot PAC-3 missile system. The company confirmed it has issued a purchase order to state-owned Wojskowe Zakłady Elektroniczne S.A. for Attitude Control Motors used in PAC-3 interceptors operated by the U.S. Army and allied forces.

The PAC-3 interceptor relies on hit-to-kill technology to destroy ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aircraft, with each missile containing 180 Attitude Control Motors that enable fine trajectory adjustments for improved targeting accuracy.

Manufacturing will be carried out at WZE’s facility in Zielonka after installation of specialized equipment and technical training provided at L3Harris’ rocket motor production site in Camden, Arkansas. According to L3Harris, WZE has already completed production readiness and manufacturing verification reviews and is expected to begin low-rate initial production shortly.

The agreement is part of a broader cooperation framework between L3Harris and Polish industry aligned with Poland’s ongoing military modernization program. Earlier collaborations include PGZ Stocznia Wojenna selecting L3Harris’ Integrated Platform Management System for new warships, joint demonstrations of upgraded VAMPIRE counter-drone systems with Thales in Poland, and the start of electro-optical and infrared sensor production in Katowice to support European ISR operations.
