KNDS has introduced a new main battle tank concept that could reshape the future of armored warfare for European forces. Designed with the French Army in mind, the CAPINT (CAPacité INTermédiaire) combines proven tank technology with advanced networking capabilities.
The platform is based on the Leopard 2 A8 chassis and is powered by a 1,500-horsepower diesel engine, providing the mobility and performance expected of a modern main battle tank.
One of the vehicle’s standout features is its native integration with unmanned systems. This connectivity allows the tank to operate alongside “robotic wingmen,” expanding reconnaissance capabilities, enhancing situational awareness, and improving battlefield intelligence for the crew.
