The US Army has deployed an advanced fire control software solution that enhances the ability of vehicle-mounted weapon systems to engage and defeat small drones, even when both the target and the host vehicle are in motion. The capability is intended to improve battlefield effectiveness against increasingly agile unmanned aerial threats.

Derived from technology initially created for the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program, the software continuously processes information from onboard sensors to maintain targeting accuracy while moving. Its modular open-systems architecture also allows new capabilities and upgrades to be integrated rapidly, supporting future modernization efforts across the Army.
