The US Marine Corps has launched service-level training to equip personnel with techniques for countering drone threats using standard weapons already available to them.

The three-day exercise, conducted at Twentynine Palms, California, brought together Marines from the 1st and 2nd Marine Divisions. Participants used rifles, shotguns, and grenade launchers to engage simulated small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS).

During the training, Marines faced simulated drone targets at ranges as close as 20 meters (65 feet). The targets reached speeds of up to 90 mph (145 km/h), helping troops practice responses to fast-moving aerial threats.
