Beretta Defense Technologies (BDT) has unveiled a new counter-drone system centered on an innovative turret equipped with eight shotgun barrels, designed to autonomously defeat small unmanned aerial threats. Developed in collaboration with Italian company DUALEE, the LIVET Remote-Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS) combines eight Benelli Drone Guardian shotguns into a single integrated and automated platform.
Leveraging advanced sensors and intelligent software, the system can independently detect, track, and engage hostile drones without requiring an operator to manually aim or control the weapon. The solution is intended to provide rapid and effective protection against the growing threat posed by small UAVs in military and security environments.
