Northrop Grumman’s Jackal precision-strike missile has moved closer to operational deployment after successfully completing a critical flight-readiness test. During the evaluation, the next-generation weapon demonstrated rapid-response performance through an automated turbojet engine start sequence, validating key launch and propulsion functions.

The test also showcased the missile’s autonomous flight capabilities, including autopilot-controlled operations and high-speed maneuverability. Designed for use in GPS-denied and heavily contested environments, Jackal’s performance highlights its potential to deliver precision-strike capabilities against modern battlefield threats while maintaining operational effectiveness in challenging conditions.
