A collaboration between two German defense companies is transforming Europe’s next-generation uncrewed combat aircraft into an autonomous intelligence asset capable of operating across multiple domains.
The CA-1 Europa drone, developed by Munich-based Helsing, will incorporate advanced sensor technologies from HENSOLDT, including radar, optronics, self-protection systems, and electronic warfare capabilities — expanding its mission set well beyond traditional strike operations.
At the heart of this upgrade is HENSOLDT’s Multi-Domain Operations Core (MDOcore) software, which enables comprehensive data fusion, seamless system connectivity, and synchronized operational effects across different battle environments.
