Spain’s upcoming counter-battery radar is designed to swiftly track incoming artillery, rockets, and mortars and determine their firing location.
The system, named RALOFI (Radar for Locating the Origin of Indirect Fire), incorporates an electronically scanned array supported by GaN-based semiconductors along with software-defined radio communication systems.
By combining these technologies, the radar is expected to deliver greater detection range and precision while maintaining strong resilience against electronic jamming and other forms of interference.
