Indian companies ArcanumSpace and Quetzalcoatl have developed ARC ODIN, a hybrid autonomous robotic system designed to move across terrain and take flight when obstacles prevent further ground movement.

The ground-air tactical platform can quickly transition between an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), allowing it to operate across different environments.

This dual-mode capability is intended to enhance soldiers’ situational awareness and provide beyond-line-of-sight visibility when terrain or other obstacles limit conventional ground-based movement.
